Like any NVG device …
Like any NVG device, direct exposure to intense light (such as daylight) most probably damage them in the long term.
Flashing a torchlight onto them ain’t going to destroy them. I believe it would be a case of prolonged direct exposure to intense light that could render them useless.

Can the goggles get damaged from two much light? I mean if I was playing airsoft and someone shined a flashlight into the lense, or something like that.

I turn it off and …
I turn it off and use an IR torch, like in my last game so that it doesn’t give my position away. It can be a little annoying if you’re attacking but as a defender, you can leave it on coz they know you’re there anyway.

Don’t join the …
Don’t join the military unless A: you know whats going on in the world. No the fox news , whats really happening. America is infiltrated by war mongorers and bankers who (are not americans btw) seek global government, which includes the end of our legitimate government. Joining the military for night vision is childish as you will be used as a pawn. Your not a pawn sir, your a human being, but kissinger will refer to you (he has on record) and will treat you as such.
It was an inside job.

No not really but …
No not really but its a risk that comes with the territory.
It’ll take a pretty good shot to hit you square in the lens and in the dark.
We’ve made these perspex covers for them and it protects the lens without messing up visual quality.

I’ve tested it …
I’ve tested it without the IR illuminator on in our last night game and it worked fine as long as there is enough ambient light around.
I had a 3W IR torch with me and that helped as it doesn’t give your position away as easily as the IR LED doesn’t shine as much as the IR on the ATN NVGs.
