Night Vision Equipment

I would like to buy some Night Vision Binoculars/monoculars as a gift for a keen wildlife spotter. I do not want to spend a huge amount of money, but also do not want to buy a cheap substitute if these are not very good. Can anyone recommend a good model which is not too expensive? Or any advice on whether these are very good at the lower end of the scale? Thanks

if your trying to go inexpensive then your looking at generation 1. these are not that good. good night vision is very expensive. you might want to pick another gift.
