Kelly Bros. from Katey had successful hunt. Three dead hogs before this unsuccessful stalk. The dry leaves under foot spooked the hogs. Good footage, though.

    Jaeger Pro uses …
Jaeger Pro uses .308 un-suppressed. We are using a .44 magnum bolt action suppressed with 300 gr. subsonic hand loads. It sounds like a pellet gun until the rather loud “whop” of the bullet striking the hog. I like the .44 because of the large diameter of the bullet and hollow point for greater expansion. I don’t think you can get the same damage out of a 220 gr. .308 as the bullet is designed for much greater velocities.

If it drops 4 inches at 84 to 100 yards are you guys using a 300 whisper or some variant of that? The rifle report is really quite compared to jaeger pro the other hog hunting site on here with videos. Or is it just the audio recording of the camera that makes it seem as if its really quite? I sure do enjoy watching those videos. I did sent you guys a private message but I don’t think ya’ll have read it yet.

    I totally agree …
I totally agree that people need to start doing something about the exploding hog population as they are only going to get worse if we stay our current course. This is what prompted me to start hunting them with the equipment I use. We usually get within 50 yards as we do not know the abilities of our hunters. Yardage is hard to determine with NV and the bullet impact is 4 inches different at 100 yards vs. 85 – thus we keep the shots close.

Pretty cool. The hog population here in Ga has exploded and few hunters take shots at them during deer season. They need to, pull the trigger on every hog you come across should be the rule they are creeping up fast on numbers and will over run deer shortly. Any reason why yall in this video try and get within 15 yards?

The leaves sounded like corn flakes underfoot, so the hogs heard our approach.

Did they wind ya? Your absoulutely right when you say you can get close to them. If the wind is right we usually can get right up on them while there feeding. I hunt very similiar to the way your hunting, but my stamp hasn’t come in yet for my surpressor. Great video’s guys!

    We normally get …
We normally get within 50 yards to insure perfect shot placement. Two in one shot earlier in the evening (not on video) were at a range of about 30 yards. Very seldom do the hogs spook like this-especially when in good numbers as they cannot tell if the noise of our stalk is a threat or just another hog. This was an exception to that rule.
